French pleated curtains
These types of curtains are characterised by sections that have been triple pleated. These sections are pinched together at the lower section of the curtains and gradually spread out at the top of the curtains. French pleated curtains have a regal aura to them making them suited for rooms that would benefit with some degree of formality such as dining rooms or master bedroom suites.
Tab-top curtains
These types of curtains will hang directly down your windows with no pleats or frills. They are named tab-top due to the tabs that are located at the top of the material. To install the curtains, you will pass the curtain rod through the tabs to secure the curtains overhead. With these types of curtains, an even space is left between each tab so that the rod remains visible when the curtains have been hung. If you are looking for an economical option, tab-top curtains would be an ideal choice. In addition to this, they are quite versatile and can be used in different rooms in the home as they blend in with all types of décor.
Casement curtains
These types of curtains are also referred to as pole top curtains, panel curtains or rod pocket curtains. They are characterised by the pockets they have at the top, which function to allow a curtain rod to be threaded through. Casement curtains are best suited for rooms that do not require constant opening and closing of the curtains.
Beaded curtains
If you are looking for something unique and indie chic, then beaded curtains would be right up your alley. As the name suggests, these curtains are made of strands of beads that have been arranged horizontally. They do not offer much in terms of privacy but they do provide visual interest in the room they are installed in. Beaded curtains can be hung over open entryways, but you can also string them up above your windows.
